A check shows that Pelicans have recently returned to the upper Mississippi River, and that
this is in the news. This supports our insight that mystic imaging or visionary imaging processes tend to
echo news relevant to activity under the clouds that are observed to be imaging. Also, sometimes the cloud
cover can be globally marshaled to indicate attention is being paid to a world historic event.
For instance, the entire visible earth grinned up at the Apollo astronauts on their way to the moon
in the documentary For All Mankind. Similarly,
the surrender of Saddam Hussein grabbed the entire cloud cover of North America, as shown in WeatherVisions59.
NGC 7000, North American Nebula | High-Resolution NGC 7000 | NGC 7000
The Pelican Nebula makes a scene in NGC 7000, the North American Nebula, in the constellation Cygnus
near the head-star of the Northern Cross, Deneb. It seems to sub-illustrate Deneb
as the head of the Northern Cross, as if to show
what God's head is like by comparison with a Pelican's. I myself have always been happy to watch Pelicans
gracefully gliding across a Floridian beach seascape, and used to feed them
fish at the pier in Clearwater on the Gulf Coast of Florida. I note that NGC 7000 sub-illustrates the head star
Deneb with the nebula at the correct angle for this function. Similarly, another sub-illustrating nebula,
the Veil Nebula or
Bridal Veil Nebula,
is near the right-hand star of Northern Cross, Gienah.
Some of the best astrophotos of Cygnus nebulosities are to be found in Burnham's Celestial Handbook. The heart-star Sadr of the constellation Cygnus is adorned by the nebula Gamma Cygni, which includes nebular imagery suggestive of a Mount of Venus. |
