Cloud Visions 3
Visionary Imaging in the Cloud Cover

A Pelican Materializes Over Louisiana, the Pelican State.
A check shows that Pelicans have recently returned to the upper Mississippi River, and that this is in the news. This supports our insight that mystic imaging or visionary imaging processes tend to echo news relevant to activity under the clouds that are observed to be imaging. Also, sometimes the cloud cover can be globally marshaled to indicate attention is being paid to a world historic event. For instance, the entire visible earth grinned up at the Apollo astronauts on their way to the moon in the documentary For All Mankind. Similarly, the surrender of Saddam Hussein grabbed the entire cloud cover of North America, as shown in WeatherVisions59.

The Pelican Nebula makes a scene in NGC 7000, the North American Nebula, in the constellation Cygnus near the head-star of the Northern Cross, Deneb. It seems to sub-illustrate Deneb as the head of the Northern Cross, as if to show what God's head is like by comparison with a Pelican's. I myself have always been happy to watch Pelicans gracefully gliding across a Floridian beach seascape, and used to feed them fish at the pier in Clearwater on the Gulf Coast of Florida. I note that NGC 7000 sub-illustrates the head star Deneb with the nebula at the correct angle for this function. Similarly, another sub-illustrating nebula, the Veil Nebula or Bridal Veil Nebula, is near the right-hand star of Northern Cross, Gienah.

In the Mirror of Cygnus
The bridal veil is to the right of the author-figure in profile seeming to kiss a strip of toil-it-paper, and seems to be a big wig and at the same time a full, sensuous lower lip. It reminds me of my Christiaan Huygens wig. Inside the lip we seem to find full-bearded Steve Friedman (the black-bearded fellow in the Sea of Storms [Mare Imbrium] on the Moon) lifting a shy Roman-style head high. Steve was in favor of my coming as a Principal Design Engineer to Honeywell Defense Communications in Tampa, Florida, where I met Jean, who seems to figure on the celestial sphere as "Gienah" in several places, including Cygnus, Corvus, and Centaurus, and as Bessarion on the Moon. However, after soaring over space to meet her like Aristarchus near Marianne, I was shot down to the Frau Mauro level after a year, and had to leave the scene. It was like Orion falling down the River Eridanus. So the story of my life is like the story of constellations and the Legend shown on the surface of the Moon. My resume at the time described me as a "friend", thus Steve seems to face me at first as Man's Best Friend on the Moon. The whole episode seems to be drawn in Galaxy M51 as the Mizar-Alcor mythology, the mythology of Charle's Wain or The Chariot of Elijah. Altogether, Cygnus seems to be about my life away from work, in "Cygnus". As "in Cygnus and in Health". NGC 7000 resembles my signature, which I draw with a pelican at the end of it as a 3-stroke star to symbolize "the 3rd" in James A. Green III. Cygnus comes down on the Western horizon spreading his arms at the sight of Orion arising on the opposite side of the sky, which seems to represent the "in Health" side of my mythic image. Today I seem to be in the Leo position, thinking up "Lynx" on the World Wide Web and drawing my Charles Wain/Chariot-of-Elijah legend of Ursa Major with me. The bear of Ursa Major, his Profile in The Arc of his tail, his literature in the Cup or Bier of the Big Dipper, seems to be working the "Lynx" with his forepaws just before he breaks through again to the Big Star Orion-side, growing over the world like a multiplying Cancer, as in "You can, sir." Some of the best astrophotos of Cygnus nebulosities are to be found in Burnham's Celestial Handbook. The heart-star Sadr of the constellation Cygnus is adorned by the nebula Gamma Cygni, which includes nebular imagery suggestive of a Mount of Venus.
