This morning the CNN 6-hour time-lapse photo over Cuba featured a ghost rider bouncing up and down on the island like The Revenge of the Sith, facing east. As lunch time approaches, a Mexican-American "Montezuma" appears, mouth on the Utah-Arizona line, with two fore-fingers extended in Texas to indicate a king-size length, while the Cuba rider now seems to face west and display his long dong beneath the boot of Louisiana. Note the pregnant belly of Montezuma in Mexico.

In the summer the mythology of the celestial sphere gets turned around. Instead of Orion chasing his glorious angel Andromeda across the sky, we find Boötes sinking with Corona Borealis, and the Star Queen Nebula in M16 appears in the galactic stream of the Milky Way, seeming to drift up out of the steam from the teapot Sagittarius, which is about to a pour a load into the hook-tail of Scorpius.
