The Rake's Progress Continues

An Indian Head in Saskatchewan resisting a Sombrero from Alberta.

Detail: Indian Longnecker in Saskatchewan Resisting a Sombrero from Alberta.

Here a fish head seems to be going for the Great Salt Lake in Utah as if was going for the Indian's male sex bait. To me, it looks like a student refusing to study Relativity endlessly, insisting on laying hands on his portion of bottom and so forth to the right. The requirements of bloodless study may leave enthusiasts cold by comparison with the warm worlds of love and sexuality. Furthermore, we seem to experience in science something like wave-particle duality between the world of visionary myth and magic on the one hand and the world of equations, chemistry, and physics on the other. Focusing on the big picture from above, the visionary world of myth, magic and sexuality of the "Indians" reveals itself. Focusing on the atom, the laws of nature, and applications, the "engines" of transport evolve and come into view. The two viewpoints seem to mirror two processing specialties of the left and right hemispheres of the brain: symbol processing and speech [left hemisphere] vs. pattern recognition and visualization [right hemisphere]. If the symbol-processing side gets too much focus, we can seem to suffer from lack of "horse sense". If the visionary side gets too much focus, we may seem to fall silent, as such things as sexual arousal or what a nebulosity resembles are partly taboo and difficult to speak of.

"Commie Rat" Over Cuba Perched on a Drumstick and Spouting Spirit.

"Commie Rat" from Internet

I guess a commie rat is a student at school who goes to work in the morning with a red star on the shoulder attitude, like the Rise of Orion's back-to-school act every September morning. His report card (Gemini?) is a subject of great interest to his parents and can get to be legendary. Betelgeuse is Orion's red shoulder star, from which he heaves an axe overhead as he leaves the scene every Spring for a Summer in the Underworld. In the Summer, on the other hand, you can see the Red Star Antares shining in the galactic core force hook of constellation Scorpius. The red star seems to be the folding point of a bent nail at the Antares corner of the pentagonal asterism called "The House of Mars" in Scorpius, and includes the nebula Ro Ophiuchi and M4, suggesting "Row O-fee U-cheese". I guess he got the rat image partly from his lonesome religion as a graduate, based on the "This is It" approach and his fondness for a house-"A" to insert himself into, hence "A-the-is-M". "Hard to get some ass without the House", he says, like a senator. Perhaps what makes him a mere rat to an American is his determination never to commune in American English, but always in Cuban Spanish, plus a gift for looking like a different brand of creature. Or maybe it's that he imprisons former opponents endlessly, thus seeming to tolerate no loyal opposition, and may not be up for re-election. Here it seems he is perched on a drumstick to beat the drums for "CommunisM", as to get some "big M" you have to keep talking and communicating and whacking your drumstick on some tail. In the photo he seems to be pulling for the devil, who spurts out of him like a genie from the gene-lamp he is rubbing.

"Who, me? I am not either a Commie Rat. I am like this!"
